See TWO new shows by our good friends at Slant Theatre Project and Ars Nova!
On Monday, Sept. 27th @ 9:30 pm, you can see Slant’s Beyond Measure, a musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, with music by P.K. Pickens and directed by Lori Wolter Hudson. This show is part of Slant’s Groundworks Series.
From now till Oct. 9th, you have the opportunity to see Ars Nova’s Now Circa Then, a new play by Carly Mensch and directed by Jason Eagan. A play about an 1890’s immigrant couple on NYC’s Lower East Side and a current-day pair of historical reenactors. We are happy to be brewing a Weiss spiced with pink peppercorns for the opening night party.

A Blank Canvas is All We Need…
Our friends at Slant Theatre Project are at it again. They need your help to make their next production happen. A spare 4 minutes is all you need. If their video gets the most views, they could win some very valuable rehearsal space. This would give them the opportunity to produce a new performance, showcasing their talent and the talent of local NYC artists, University of Evansville grads among many of them. It could also lead to chance for 2nd Floor Brewing to work with Slant Theatre again. Your support is greatly appreciated. Cheers!
This is where it started. On the 2nd floor of our Williamsburg apartment in May 2007, we brewed our first beer on the kitchen stove with fresh malt, hops, yeast, and NYC tap water. We have since grown more and more passionate about locally crafted, full-flavored beers. We see that same passion in the local farmers, bakers, chefs, and artists we encounter daily and whose craft we enjoy on a regular basis. It's the attention paid by those who create what we drink, eat, buy, hear, and view that fuels the 2nd Floor fires. The intention of 2nd Floor Brewing is to share our love of crafting great beers while supporting like minded artisans whom share their unique gifts with us. 2nd Floor Brewing was named simply so that with each batch brewed, we call to mind the origin from which we started pursuing our craft. With each beer savored, we are reminded that ours is a labor of love. May yours be too. Cheers, Maggie & Brad
